PIZZA was A BIG DEAL for THE Dothan High Class of '68. Stromboli steak sandwiches, pizza burgers & garlic bread were nice substitutes when you were broke but PIZZA WERE DAH DEAL LATE FRIDAY NITE (ed. note: after finishing a fifth of Waterfield & Frazier you got @ Barrentine's) & Joe's Pizza on North Oates was GROUND ZERO fo' usunzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Nobody could get used to how hot it was when it was served & you were so hungry that you KNEW the shattered remains of the dermis on your upper palate was gonna be pealing off like wet wallpaper by SATTIDDEE MORNING.
