Both of the Ruffin brothers, Jimmy & David, were born in Lauderdale County, Mississippi, near the Alabama line around Cuba, Alabama. The late David Ruffin became the great, yet troubled, lead singer for the Temptations & Jimmy is remembered for a terrific Motown ballad, WHAT BECOMES OF THE BROKEN HEARTED. We have many members of the Ruffin family here in Tuscaloosa and I've heard a few claim kin to the famous Ruffin brothers. This version of WHAT BECOMES OF THE BROKEN HEARTED from mid 70s British TV includes the original spoken introduction which was replaced by an instrumental in the recording. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2vf3ZE7CLg0&feature=related
